Artisan Market and Community Event
Come together to celebrate Merritton and support our neighbourhood artists.
Art in Glengarry Park is an artisan market that will bring our community together through art.
Generously funded by the City of St.Catharines SCIIP Grant, Culture Builds Community, and supported by the Rodman Art Institute of Niagara (RAiN). The event will feature 4 to 6 local artists and a community art project which will be on display in the Fall.
We come together to celebrate, create and connect.

Where Can I RSVP?
Please RSVP, using this form.
Event reminders and updates (including the gallery show in the Fall) will be sent to your email.
What is the Community Art Project?
Market attendees and artists are invited to participate in a Community Mural. Mini-canvases and different mediums (pastels, markers, paint pens, collage items) will be available to use however you want. Supplies are generously supplied by Rodman Art Institute of Niagara (RAiN).
Following the event, canvases will be collected and placed together to create a community mural. The mural will be displayed in a public setting in the Fall. Date and place to be announced.
Will there be food and drinks available?
No. There is no food or drink available at this event. It is also an alcohol-free area. Please do not bring outside alcohol to the event.
Will there be porta potties?
Yes. There will be one accessible porta potty and handwashing station available for attendees. Additional garbage and recycle bins will also be available.

Is there parking?
There is limited street parking. The Pen Centre is a 5-minute walk from the park. Additional parking is available here.
Will there be First Aid and Emergency Services?
Yes. First Aid and Security is provided by the Canadian Response Network who is able to perform First Aid. An information booth will be available for attendees should they need First Aid or Security services.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. We would love to see your pup. But he or she must be leashed at all times and the owner must be monitoring their dog. Please clean-up after your pup.

Artist faqs
Are vendors required to have insurance?
Yes. As the event takes place on public, city owned property, all vendors must have their own insurance.

Can I participate in the Community Art Project?
Yes! Mini-canvases will be available at a separate tent. All canvases will be collected and displayed at a separate art show. Participating artists will also have space to display their pieces at this event.
What kind of Artists are able to apply?
All artists are welcome to apply to show their work. Priority will be given to Merritton artists but all applications will be considered. I will do my best to ensure duplicate mediums are not featured. AI art or artists and/or AI generated/enhanced work will not be accepted.
Is there is a vendor fee?
No! You do not have to pay to participate. In fact, you will be paid for your time! One of the few artisan markets that do not charge their vendors AND will pay vendors for their time.
Are vendors paid?
Yes! One of the few artisan markets where participating artists will be paid for their time. The amount will be determined following the event. Payment will be made via e-transfer after the event.
Can I sell my art?
Yes, of course! This is not a necessity but you may sell your works. You must bring your own POS system or means of capturing customer payments.
