About The Artist

Melissa Cammisuli is an artist who has always worked for the process of creating. Exploring different mediums and subjects that further develop her practice. She has a Master's degree in art history obtained from the University of York in the UK. She is interested in the intersection between art and science and its development through book history. Currently, she is working on two series Home and Mood Swings: A Work in Progress. Both are an examination of her mental health as it relates to her surroundings. Home examines the space she occupies and the ways in which a house becomes a home. Mood Swings: A Work in Progress is a series of contradictions; both rigid and impulsive, strict and flexible. It is a series of keeping up with rigid habits and creating new ones. Follow the development of these series through the website or her social media @melissacammisuli.

Mission Statement

My purpose is to make art accessible and welcoming. As an educator, I have several years experience developing and delivering art and art history based programs to a variety of audiences including neurodiverse adults, community outreach programs, adult and family based art and art history courses.

My work will always give back to the community either through educational programming or through donating to causes that are close to my heart. As an animal advocate, it is important that my work helps those whose purpose is to advocate for our furry friends. Every single piece sold donate to Grey's Haven Farm Sanctuary.
