Welcome to my world of expressive and bold artwork. As an artist, I specialize in painting with mixed media on canvas, drawing, and digital artwork. My work is inspired by the process of creating but is rooted in my education in art history. My unique "scribbly" style allows for thought-provoking work that deviates from what is trending. My purpose is to make art accessible and welcoming to all while giving back to those whose mission is to advocate for the voiceless. Proceeds from every single sale will be donated to Grey's Haven Farm Sanctuary.
Artist Statement
My work has always explored the process of creation; art for art's sake. In the process, I have developed a unique "scribbly" style that is used to loosely capture shadow and light. I choose compositions with dramatic differences in light. I turn to art history as my source of inspiration. Currently, I am interested in the relationship between early medicine and fine art and bridging the gap between the two seemingly opposing subjects. I am interested in not only anatomical studies but the musculature of the human body and the ways light and shadow capture this movement. My work gives medical illustrations a fine art platform, causing viewers to consider these studies within the art world.
My work will always give back to the community. One important way is by donating proceeds to Grey's Haven Farm Sanctuary; a local animal sanctuary in Niagara. I am an animal activist and it is important to me to help those whose life purpose is to be the voice of the voiceless. I believe art can change the world in more ways than one; giving back to the community is a small step in the right direction.
